Jennifer Shook is the co-owner and founding partner of Shook & Guinn Innovative Brand Strategies, LLC. (S&G) – a boutique marketing firm specializing in client service and brand development. With over 20-years of professional marketing achievements across corporate and nonprofit sectors alike, in addition to extensive experience in the fields of visual and performing arts, Jennifer Shook and her business partner, Amy Guinn, have literally perfected the art of standing out in a crowd – and they’d love nothing more than to help your business stand out too!
Prior to founding S&G, Shook’s professional career also spanned stops in Atlanta, Birmingham, Washington, D.C., as well as, Austin, and include the Atlanta Thrashers Hockey Club, the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. House of Representatives, and, for over seven years, Southern Living Magazine. Prior to moving to South Carolina in May of 2018, Shook served as both the Director of Development and the Executive Director with the Lafayette Society for Performing Arts in LaGrange, GA.
Shook earned her B.S. in political science from Presbyterian College in South Carolina. She later earned her MPA with emphasis in nonprofit management from Troy University in Alabama and has a certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Texas at Austin. Shook complemented her educational focus in the nonprofit arena with direct fundraising and development positions with the Association of Junior Leagues International in Birmingham, Austin, Atlanta, and also served as the Vice Chair for Merchants with the Junior League of Columbia’s (JLC) Annual Holiday Market. An ardent supporter of community engagement (even ended a few votes short after a campaign for her local city council), she is currently a lead consultant with the Forest Acres Main Street Program’s revitalization effort in Forest Acres, SC and has served in leadership roles as Rotarian with the Forest Acres, SC and LaGrange, GA Rotary Clubs.
